Jermaine Jackson believes his little brother Michael Jackson should convert to Islam to help him deal with the pressures of being in the limelight.

Jermaine said recently that his faith kept him calm during his celebrity Big Brother appearance: “If I didn’t have Allah and my prayer rug, I would not have survived, and the reason why is because it kept me focused, it kept me calm.”

“Michael, I feel, needs to become a Muslim because I think it’s a great protection for him from all the things that he’s been attacked with, which are false. There’s a strength and a protection there.”

“I brought him a lot of books, and he reads everything and he reads a lot. I think he’s probably given it serious thought because he’s spent a lot of time in Bahrain. I was the reason why he had gone there because I wanted him to get out of America and just go somewhere peaceful and quiet, where people pray five times a day. It’s a beautiful thing.”

Hilton Website Shut Down.

Hilton Website Shut Down.... A website featuring Paris Hilton's personal belongings was shut down yesterday (30Jan07) after the hotel heiress slapped the operators with a federal lawsuit.

Parisexposed.com launched on 23 January (07) and allowed visitors to view the Stars Are Blind singer's medical records, personal diaries and home videos for a fee.

The site claimed the items were auctioned off after Hilton failed to pay the rent on a Los Angeles-based storage container.

In a lawsuit filed Monday (29Jan07), Hilton claimed the items were put in storage two years ago when she and her sister moved house after being burglarised and that the moving company was told to pay the storage fees.

Hilton's lawyer, Gregory Korn said she could be in danger because some of the personal information, such credit card receipts and Hilton's passport, could be used to steal her identity or provide information to potential stalkers.

The lawsuit alleged defendants Nabil and NabilA HANISS of Culver City, California paid $2,775 (£1,500) for the items which were then sold to Bardia Persa for $10 million (£5.25 million), who created Parisexposed.com.

Hilton's publicist Elliott Mintz claims the dispute is not over adding, "She wants her things back. Her possessions are still in the hands of strangers."

Meanwhile in other news the star is also suing the website that has published naked photos of her, in an attempt to shut it down.

Visitors to ParisExposed.Com are able to pay to view raunchy snaps, home videos, diary entries and pictures of the heiress' passport and personal belongings, obtained from a storage container.

The items were sold at auction by the storage firm, who claimed its fees hadn't been paid for two years - but Hilton alleges a removal company was supposed to pay.

The "shocked and surprised" 25-year-old claims the belongings were put into storage in 2005 after she and sister Nicky moved out of a house that had been burgled.

A court statement from Hilton, part of a lawsuit filed yesterday (29Jan07) in Los Angeles, reads, "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting me and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain."

Hilton is calling for the closure of the website on the grounds it invades her privacy and exposes her and Nicky to people who could "to steal my identity, or even worse, to harass or stalk me."

She has filed copyright registrations for three writings among her belongings, and accuses the website of copyright infringement.

The lawsuit alleges the items were bought by Nabil and NabilA HANISS for $2,775 (£1,500) and sold to Bardia Persa for $10 million (£5.25 million).

Beckham plays prince for Disney

David Beckham played a prince in a new Disney campaign — his first showpiece endorsement since announcing his trade to the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club, U.S. media reported on Sunday.

Beckham was among the celebrities photographed in roles of Disney movie characters last month for a "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion for Walt Disney Co. theme parks.

The international soccer star, marketing giant and fashion icon, was photographed in a series of photos taken by famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz as the Prince Phillip from "Sleeping Beauty," astride a white horse and fighting a fire-breathing dragon.

Beckham said in a statement, "There were many Disney characters I liked as a kid."

"I'm the prince, and I'm sort of slaying a dragon, which is something I've never done before, obviously. When I was called about it and asked to do it, I was very honored and really looking forward to it, especially with Annie doing the pictures... " he noted, adding" The role's reversed now. It's my sons that love the Disney characters and, you know, it's a big part of their lives; a big part of many children's lives around the world."

The 31-year-old midfielder with Real Madrid signed a recent five-year deal with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy. He will join the club this summer.

His wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, has been spotted house-hunting in Southern California.

Angelina Jolie has revealed that if there is one secret agent whose shoes she would love to step into, it would be the suave British spy James Bond.

And if the actress' ambition of being the first female James Bond don't quite work out, she would be just as happy being the next Bond baddie.

"I'd love to be a Bond villain or the first female Bond," Entertainment Weekly quoted her as saying.

"The Mr and Mrs Smith" star was considered for the role of Bond's lady love Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. However, plans fell apart after she found out that she was pregnant.

While Jolie went on to have beau Brad Pitt's baby, the part of Lynd went to French star Eva Green.

And though Eva Green's character was killed in Casino Royale, she revealed in an interview with "Entertainment Weekly" that Vesper's French-Algerian boyfriend mentioned in Casino Royale may be the villain in Bond 22 something that may see her return in a flashback/video scene.

Harry Potter star gets naked

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will go from riding a broomstick to riding a horse naked in his London stage debut, according to media reports Wednesday.

The 17-year-old actor is set to play stable boy Alan Strang in award-winning playwright Peter Shaffer's controversial play "Equus."

"This is an extraordinary play," Radcliffe's publicist Vanessa Davies said, "and, yes, there is a scene of nudity in it, but that's not what the play is about."

Pictures of a shirtless Daniel Radcliffe that are being used to promote his new play are causing controversy among fans of the "Harry Potter" movies.

The young star peels off clothes in the promotional photos for "Equus." He reportedly will also appear naked and have a sex scene in the play.

The pictures have already become popular among young female fans of Daniel Radcliffe.

But parents are up in arms and are bombarding "Harry Potter" fansites with emails.

The play opens in London on Feb. 27.

Hollywood beckons for Shilpa after victory in Celebrity Big Brother

The Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty was last night voted winner of this year's Celebrity Big Brother at the end of a series engulfed by political controversy and allegations of racism.

The 31-year-old star, who became the odds-on favourite to win after she was bullied by fellow contestants, burst into tears on hearing she had won 63 per cent of the public vote.

She left the house to a roar of applause - in stark contrast to the eerie silence which greeted her chief tormentor, Jade Goody, when she was voted from the programme last Friday.

Shetty seemed shocked when told of the outcry caused by her treatment on the show, and said that she didn't want Goody to be branded a racist.

"Things happen, people make mistakes and we all learn from them. But I can say one thing for sure. Jade didn't mean to be racist. She isn't a racist," she said.

While Goody now struggles to rescue what remains of her career - and Channel 4 bosses face a battering for their handling of the row - Shetty's future looks decidedly brighter.

Thanks to the furore triggered by her treatment in the Big Brother house, Shetty will now face a flurry of lucrative advertising deals, public appearances and offers to buy her story.

Several projects, including an ethnic minority awards show and a cricket-themed reality TV programme, have already boasted that they are trying to sign up Shetty.

Representatives for the former model have hinted that she plans to release an album of Bollywood hits, and may also pursue a film career in the US.

Shetty - who was paid more than £200,000 to appear on the show - will enjoy a comeback at home, too.

Although she has appeared in more than 40 movies, in India her career was widely perceived to be in decline after she appeared on a TV show last year.

But after triumphing on Big Brother, advertisers say that she is now likely to command fees of several hundred thousand pounds for endorsement deals in Asia.

Shetty is one of the few participants to emerge unscathed by the series. Danielle Lloyd, a former beauty queen, and Jack Tweed, Goody's boyfriend, who were both implicated in the bullying, were greeted with heavy booing as they left the show last night. Lloyd immediately apologised for her behaviour in the house.

On Friday Hertfordshire Police said that they plan to interview Goody and her mother, Jackiey Budden, over alleged racist behaviour.

The row - which at its height sucked in the governments of the UK and India - may now prove to be the salvation of what seemed to be a moribund format. Ratings for the programme peaked at a record 8.8 million for Goody's eviction. Last night bookmakers William Hill were offering odds of 2/5 that there would be another series next year.
